Help with head torch for running

Post Body

I'm looking for experiences or advice on a head light for running. For the past couple of years I've been using a couple of these cheap Blukar lights, which have been fine, but the battery performance seems to last a season and then starts to deteriorate:

My assumption is that I should be looking for a higher quality light from a more expensive brand. I've narrowed it down to a few options:

Petzl Iko Core Nitecore UT27 Pro Fenix HM65R-T v2.0

The Petzl looks to be the best form-factor for running, in that it looks like it would be the least likely to bounce around, but I'm concerned about the lower lumens output and low burn time. The Fenix looks like the best option for lumens output and burn time, but I'm worried about the weight (twice as heavy as the other two) making it more likely to bounce around when running. And the Nitecore looks like a good balance between the two, but I wonder whether I'm missing out on the advantages of the extra power and burn time of the Fenix for no reason.

So in summary, does anyone have any experience of specifically running with these lights? Are my worries about the weight of the Fenix valid? Should the Nitecore have plenty of output for night running in the pitch black? Should I accept the limitations of the Petzl and just carry extra batteries in order to get the running-friendly form factor? Am I missing another obvious candidate?

The other thing confusing me is that I don't have much experience with lights, and the cheap Blukar that I've been using states a 2000 lumens output, which is higher than any of the three options that I'm looking at, but it doesn't seem THAT bright in use... Considering they are only about £10 are they really likely to be more powerful than the other three options I'm looking at? Or is that lumens figure dubious?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
