Community input needed. Merged Mining or PoS? Or both.
Post Body

The current scrypt mining is not sustainable for FlappyCoin. Hell, its hardly even being mined so we're in a position to make some big changes. I, for one, have never been a fan of the arms race that mining creates. It only puts money in the hands of hardware makers, just like the gold rush, the ones who made the most money were the ones who sold shovels.

So, I'm am looking at either merge mining with LiteCoin, like dogecoin has done, and/or PoS. The idea of implementing side chains is also intriguing and I think we should look into for a future update. I think the side chains would allow us to create more robust and speedy applications.

I like the idea of merge mining until block 600,000 then switch to PoS. I'm not really concerned with LTC miners just dumping FLAPs on the exchange since the price is so low, its easy to setup buy walls to soak it up. This will also give FLAP miners the opportunity to set up those buy walls.

So, right now, here's my proposed rough road map.

v3.3 (Currently in development) - Reduced transaction fees, identical to DOGE. This will be to facilitate FLAPs use in the upcoming game. Also, updated wallet graphics.

v4.0 - Merge mining with LTC to block 600,000 then PoS after.

v4.1 - Sidechains?

What do you guys think?
