Did I Kill My Fridge? Should I fix or buy?

TLDR at end.

I made the poor mistake of overfilling my freezer on my fridge/freezer combo. It's started to make noise and after googling-- my understanding is bc I overfilled it, I might have broken the condenser. Its 14 yrs old.

I'm thinking I have a few options:

  1. It started making the noise about a week ago. Do you think if I cleaned it out it might be salvaged?

  2. Just go buy a different one.

Thoughts/suggestions?

TLDR: fridge is making noises. Should I try to fix it or buy another.
