Hello, thank you for any advice. I have a security blanket I have had since I was a toddler. As you can imagine, after 25 years it has been worn down and is falling apart. Originally I used to spend hours sewing it back together time and time again, but now the holes are so numerous and the thread becoming so bare that it is simply not as effective anymore.
I was wondering if there was something specific to ask of a tailor or seamstress? I have a few in my area and would love to see if one of them can fix up my blanket. I have also thought about asking or having my blanket sewn to another similar but newer blanket, if that makes sense. That way at least on one side it'll be more secured and together. I have already bought another blanket just for this purpose.
Is it really as simple as just asking them to do the above of they can? How much roughly would this cost, and how long would it take. I'm sure that these questions vary by store to store but just curious if anyone else at all has similar experience. Thank you anyone who can help.
