Fixing A Christmas Story (1983)

I want to see a true to the book remake of A Christmas Story. The actual story is that Ralphie is an adult and goes home for Christmas. He goes and gets drunk at a bar owned by Flick, and they are reminiscing about childhood. And it should be adult Peter Billingsly, the kid who played Ralphie in the 1983 Movie.
It was a series of short stories published in Playboy, which was then compiled into a book called In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash.
