I mean, we actually have proof of the opposite. Phone guy specifically tells us that those characters have been performing for 20 years. if Fnaf 1 does take place somewhere in the 90's as usually speculated, then the original Freddy Fazbear's came before Fredbear's family diner.

I know phone guy says the original restaurant owner, but that could be the legitimate owner of the building, considering if they had sister locations in 1987 like they said they did, they'd call it a company, or a franchise. I work for a franchise pizza company, and when we have to call someone about something strange in the building (More specifically about a support beam, rather than dead children), we have to call the original owner of the building, not the previous owners of our company.
