Do I really need to be eating 220g of protein daily?

Iām M, 5ā8ā, and about 220 lbs. Based on my body composition and lack of strength, I am easily >30% body fat.
My goal is to gain overall strength, get down to around 160lbs. I want to be fit but not bulky. Imagine a dude who is really good with bouldering and calisthenics. Doing pull-ups and climbing over stuff.
I am struggling to eat 220g of protein a day. Iām finding that most of my meals are like half a serving of carb, a half spoon of oil, and mostly protein and veggies. However, I get way too full and never finish my meals. I definitely am not getting the protein Iām apparently supposed to be getting.
If i had to estimate, Iām falling around 150g of protein a day.
Is this good enough for my goals? Thanks
