I'm trying to cut. Myfitnesspal says I should be getting about 1630 calories/day and 82g protein/day for a 1lb/week cut. I read in many places that protein intake should remain the same for a cut so i'm trying to think of a meal plan that sticks to the caloric goal from myfitnesspal but also sticks to my 1g protein/lb goal (165g protein in my case)
So, I made this meal plan. It just about hits the desired calories and protein, but it seems VERY protein heavy. I added up the calories from non-protein sources and it came out to 486 (29%). This means that 71% of my calories are coming from protein sources. Is this normal? Is this healthy? I could definitely switch from whole eggs to egg whites and sausage for chicken/turkey/fish, but this is working as far as calories/protein goes, but i don't know if i'm depriving myself of other essential nutrients.
tl;dr - 71% of calories comes from protein sources. Is this good or bad?
