Am i correct that Versa 3 bands are NOT compatible with Versa 4?

I feel like I'm crazy. I purchased 2 versa 4 bands on amazon many months ago when I got my Versa 4. None were useable but said they worked with versa 3 and 4.

Even on fitbit's official website it states: "Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Sense 2, and Fitbit Versa 3 bands are compatible with Versa 4."

Is this really true? I've put off ordering more bands for my versa 4 and have been using the one it came with all because I don't want to waste time ordering stuff I don't know will work. I never had this problem with my Versa 3. Now my original band for my 4 is starting to degrade and irritate my skin. I need a new band.

Are versa 4 and 3 bands really compatible or did I just have bad experiences a few months ago when trying to order some?
