Has anyone else hot glue the end plugs of there canister shells

I’ve heard that hot glueing the end make the shells hit harder I’m also wrapping mine with electrical tape as well to create a lot more compression. I’m just curious has anyone tried this and if so, how was it?
Considering how much space they put on these 5 inch and 6 inch canisters for consumer it’s just such a waste
