Fallen trees in people's yard
Post Body

I know alot of wood burners will offer to cut up a fallen tree and take it home to split, how do you go about asking? I feel uncomfortable knocking on someone's door they I don't know or there is no sign out front to take the tree. We had a recent ice storm that caused alot of fallen trees around and was thinking about asking, but whats the first step?

Also if you do cut up the tree and take your logs but you don't want the small twigs at the end of branches do you leave it there? Or take it as a thank you?
