Hello everyone,
I’ve read several posts related to splitters, so I’m trying my best to become knowledgeable as it pertains to my needs. The primary species that I’ll be splitting is beech, and it’s notoriously difficult to split. What would the minimum strength splitter that would be recommended? While I won’t go with the bare minimum, I don’t want to purchase something that won’t have the strength and power to do what I need. I’ll be splitting several cords a year of beech, oak, and maple.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Also, I have a TYM 474, and I’ve considered buying a splitter for the tractor. Anyone have experience with these? Thanks
