Critters? How many is too many?

Post Body

So I just joined this sub specifically to ask this question: should I start taking action against the critters that have taken up residence in my woodpile?

I kinda figured it's a fact of life when having stack up on stack of firewood, you're gunna get critters. In my specific instance it's red squirrels. There are at least 5 I know of, but most likely there's a few more. Every time I walk to my garage, there's little bushy tails fluttering around the pile.

Now I'm not anxious to pump up my pellet gun and start blasting away, I'm just wondering if anything be on here has any experience with such a situation. Are multiple red squirrels a threat to my woodpile, my garage, and most importantly, my home?
