GPM required fo 2x16 inch shotgun condenser?
Post Body

hi folks -

Parts for my first still should be arriving soon. For context, it is a pot still inspired by the legendary CCVM design - 2x36" triclamp spool ass my column, two elbow joints to form a U, and a 2X16" 5 channel shotgun condenser. My starter kettle is 7 gallons, that I'll either run with a gas burner or a 1.6kW induction plate.

What sort of flow rate is needed in that case for the condenser? I have a 1gpm racking pump on hand; will that be sufficient, or do I need something with a larger flow rate?
