Botanical run in Vevor

I just stripped a sugar wash that I was going to do the spirit run on just for a neutral to have around "just in case". Then the thought hit me, I have a shitload of lavender tea bags laying around and I was thinking if I use them in the "thumper" on the still like a gin basket. Would this work okay or is there another method that would be better.
