Can someone explain to me (like I'm 5, natch) how to set up my Purple Firewalla's VPN to be used outside my home?

I guess I am not as tech savvy as I thought, but after reading through Firewalla's documentation, I still cannot figure out how to set it up as a VPN so that I can use it out of my home (so when I am work, and the work servers block various sites, I can use Firewalla's VPN to get around restrictions).
