Lag on video sites (Youtube, Twitch, etc...)

So 2 days ago suddenly all video sites started lagging for me after around 15-20min of browsing.

At first I thought it could be some kind of memory leak but RAM usage seemed normal, high but nothing weird. Checking with firefox's task manager showed around 1-1.5gb usage for those tabs in question, but my system still had a lot of spare memory. What interesting is that it showed values over 100% for CPU usage, like it went up to 140%.

The whole browser is feeling sluggish and unresponsive until I close or reload the video tab.

Does anyone know what's causing the issue and how to fix it?
