Chapter 17 (Crimson Flower) Maddening?

I was wondering if anyone has ever figured out a firm cause for Rhea to spawn on this map? I am trying to do a lot of things in the first two turns, like kill people before they turn, I always stay out of range of Sylvain/The Great Knight to the right, but am still screwed by STRs. Like honestly if Rheas units spawned and I had a turn to act this wouldn’t be that bad.
