EDIT: I fucked up the spoiler tag in the title, apparently. If some mod can help me with that, that'd be much appreciated.

Have you been playing Fire Emblem Warriors almost nonstop since it came out? Do you have one/or several characters that you really enjoy playing as which are either at level cap or really close to reaching it? Are you sad that playing as your preferred characters almost feels like a joke now considering how much more powerful they are than the enemies on nearly every single map? Well, here's a way to make things a bit more interesting, for a bit, anyway.

First, complete the "Together til the End" history map, and unlock the rightmost spacetime distortion challenge. It should be an arena battle with a deploy limit of female only. If you want to bring male characters into the challenge, be sure to go into the arena battle and S Rank it (if you don't want to fight with any male units, you can skip the rest of this paragraph). S ranking the arena battle isn't too difficult, all you really need to do is pick a high level character and be sure to pair them up with someone they have an A rank with. An A rank partner fills the defense bar quickly, which makes you next to impossible to actually damage for nearly all enemies. Get through five rounds while taking less than 80% in damage and then exit through the gate at the back of the arena; the S rank doesn't require you to beat all the enemies.

Now, here's where the challenge begins. Pick one of your maxed (or close to) out characters, and head into that challenge. To complete the challenge, you must beat all six rounds with the following limitations.

-You cannot pair up

-You cannot block

-You cannot bring any healing item better than a vulnerary.

This took me quite a few tries to beat, so I think it should be a pretty suitable test for anyone looking for a real challenge with one or more maxed out characters.

The enemies in the challenge are, in order

  • Wave One: Manakete, Mage, Assassin
  • Wave Two: Mage, 2 Manaketes
  • Wave Three: Darios, Fafnir, Assassin (Darios will activate healing)
  • Wave Four: Tiki, Sage, Mage, Marth
  • Wave Five: Leo, 2 Fafnirs, Celica (Celica will activate lightning)
  • Wave Six: Gharnef, 2 Assassins, Velezark, Iago

(Italics indicates an enemy that will not spawn in until you deal a sufficient amount of damage to other enemies):

I will say, up front, that if you don't really enjoy the core combat on FE Warriors, this probably won't be much fun for you. This is pretty much entirely divorced from any of the strategy elements found within the game; you may want to bring in units with different weapons to try and take advantage of the weapon triangle as much as possible, but that's about it. This is heavily focused on just mastering the combat element of the game.

A couple of tips if anyone's interested in trying it out:

*Make heavy use of your dodge. You can dodge out of most (but not all) attacks, and it has a decent amount of invincibility on it as well.

*Be smart with how you use warrior gauge. You can cancel anything into a warrior move, and since warrior moves freeze time around you, this can basically be a pass to get away with whatever attack string you want without being punished. It's also a great tool to rip through an enemy's stun gauge.

*I'd highly recommend either bringing in a character with a weapon that can tear through manaketes/fafnirs. This doesn't have to be a Falchion wielder; you can attach a dracoslayer attribute to another character's weapon in the smithy if you so desire.

*Leave some of the health pickups that drop from killing enemies on the field if you don't need them immediately; they will stick around indefinitely, and you'll almost certainly need some health refills later on.

And that's about it. If you want to make the challenge easier/harder, experiment with bringing in either better healing items or none at all. I wouldn't suggest allowing either pairing up or blocking, because blocking pretty much breaks Velezark (the biggest challenge in this whole thing), while pairing up with a character makes it much easier to survive, especially if you have an A support with them.

Let me know what you think! I'd welcome any feedback.
