Does Fire Emblem Warriors on 3DS have multiplayer? (Local or otherwise)

I've checked the board and there don't seem to be any clear answers so far.
I just want to make sure that the 3DS version of the game has some kind of basic multiplayer feature. I mainly want local multiplay with my friend who is going to get the game as well. He mostly wants to get the game and has talked me into it so I want to make sure it has the key feature for us playing together.
Has there been any specific updated or was it just a vague confirmation that the game in general has multiplayer
