One thing that stuck out to me: In Cyrkensia, Zola could have just sat on the sidelines until things blew over and everything would've been more or less fine for him. But the dude walks up to Garon of all people, probably fully aware of how temperamental the dude can be and tried to convince him to spare Corrin.

It almost feels like, despite being a cowardly, backstabbing sleazeball Corrin saving his life actually meant something to him. Which leads me to wonder: In another life, do you think he could've been redeemed?
