Insignia fire TV Home Screen headache
Post Body

I upgraded my age 75-ish mother to an I nsignia fire tv…specifically model:

“Insignia™ - 50" Class F30 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV - NS-50DF710NA21.”

My issue is when u turn it on sometimes it picks right up from the cable input and sometimes it goes to that annoying fire Home Screen where you have to change the input to get back to the cable input.

Anyway to disable that?

She has technology issues, but tries, and trying to remember to press input on some remotes and on others pressing home then arrows and all those steps is too much, heck even I think it can be overly complicate sometimes.

So is there a way or steps to make sure the tv goes straight to the cable input every. single. time.

I know there is an option to go to last selection made or something of that sort but sometimes it work sometimes it doesn’t.

Any help would be welcomed here.

Thanks
