I just finished doing a small house remodel and one of the things was changing the front door. I bought a wood door and had someone stain it with Minwax dark walnut color. Supposedly he did 1 coat of paint then 3 coats of sealer. He just says the grains look different when the light hits it, but the inside of the door is clearly darker in that area than the outside.
Is this accurate? What does everyone think is happening here?
Pictures attached:
One side of the door, the bottom piece is considerably lighter than the rest.
