As this is a support group, I think my rant would go well here lol.

TL;DR: I had this sub/finsub that argued about LGBTQIA community and how trans and asexuals should not be part of the community and even argued that some people should be considered as part of the LGBT community for “liking minor or being attracted to minors” as those people are saying they should be part of the community.

Started out as “why do you have a gay flag on your profile” pertaining to my IG profile as we were talking on instagram. He’s a straight guy alright so I was prepared to be on an educated conversation about the LGBTQIA community. Now he started asking what LGBT means, I explained properly as I am part of the LGBTQIA community as well and have been educating and speaking about it for years. He then asked why trans people are included in the community when they can be straight. Explained why. He argued that if they are attracted to the opposite sex, aren’t they straight and when they are indeed attracted to the opposite sex after their transition, shouldn’t they be part of the community already? Explained why.

Now here’s where my frustration comes in. I explained that the community is not a single winding road. Came in the topic of asexuals, he questioned that even them should not be part of the community as they don’t even like anyone even though I’ve already explained that asexuals indeed can like and love people but not be sexually attracted to them. Even though I have explained to hin in the most simplest way, he would say that my “opinion” is incorrect and I need to re-educate myself and check the resources of the LGBTQIA to be reeducated.

He then said that “well I am not straight. I am gender fluid and I just decided to be a girl now,” explained it doesn’t work that way. He then went on to say that if those people (pertaining to trans and asexual) are included, why not the people who likes minors (pedophiles) as they said that they are wanting to be part of the LGBTQIA community as well. By then I stopped explaining. All I said was “check your argument, I won’t entertain anymore of your bull****” and blocked him.

And that is the happiest time I’ve been to lose a sub.
