I’m 24m still lives at home in the childhood room. I graduated in 2019 and got my diploma. Got a gf then went to community college while working a full time job, Covid hit and I dropped out of college and ended up losing my job. It’s been 5 years Since then, I just started doing random jobs like warehouse and roofing sales but never got anywhere but then my gf broke up with me. I wanna go back to school and try again but idk what to do. I’ve only ever been interested in airplanes and medicine. Idk what to do, I’m currently a tire tech at a tire shop tryin to work up to diesel mechanic but I’ve realized it’s just not for me, I don’t get satisfaction or anything from the work. How did y’all figure out what to do with y’all’s life’s. Or what advice do you have for me?
Update- thank all you guys for the advice. I’m new to Reddit and it’s crazy how strangers gave me good advice.
Let me ask this because still need advice.
So rn I got 2 options I can do for career. I can stick with what I’m doin and suck it up. It’s a diesel mechanic program through a company. You level up and they teach and train you on the job and even send you to classes for certifications. I do tires and oil changes rn but later I’ll be doing more once i learn more. It’s it’s $50k - $100k a year after i reach L5 and get ase certified.
My other route is to go back to college for a radiology tech program at my community college. Get the degree and go from there. My mom is a nurse at a hospital and says he could get me a job if I did it plus she said she’d kinda help pay for it. Ya know if I prove I can do it then she’ll help financially.
Y’all got any advice on which path i should decide?
