Hi just to give everyone context I’m 24 and coming from a job that I’ve worked the last 5 years I’ve decided to transition to one of two fields either automotive collision repair or electrician. I know they are different fields but they both have similarities with being hands on and requiring some sort of mechanical aptitude which are things I prefer over a desk. To give context I live in Nevada so you can get an better idea of the whole picture in turns of weather these are good careers or not. After discussing this with several people in automotive collision repair I’ve been told I could absolutely make 100k a year if I worked hard and was on top of my stuff. With that being said it is my first choice but from family members I’ve also been told electrician might be a safer bet in terms of salary . I guess my questions are who has worked either of these fields? What are some things you’d say are good indicators that it’s for you or not? From what I’ve been told if you put in the work you can get a lot out of either but on average what would help me provide for the family best? Also could you give me insight more so into electricians in Nevada? Thank you for your time.
