How do people, like "Do" their job?

So I'm 40, I work as a change management consultant - and while the moneys okay, and there is a fair degree of flexibility, I just literally don't care. Like I'll be in meetings, and I'll be either coding, or looking through reddit etc - everyones talking about committee meetings, and all this important business stuff, but honestly its all boring nonsense to me.
I find that if I dont care about something, good luck getting me to actually do it.
