So for some context post-high school I went to college without knowing what I wanted to do, tried out some different programs, most of which didn’t really seem to translate to real world jobs, so I ended up dropping out with little to show for my long college career except a useless associates degree and a lot of random credits, though not really too much debt. Now I’m working at Whole Foods, which isn’t terrible but I’m starting to feel really burnt out. Physical job that takes its toll and it has me feeling pretty depressed. It had a decent work/life balance but now they’re having me come in a 5am a few times a week and it’s really burning me out fast. I hate working all day and then immediately having to go to sleep so I can work again tomorrow with no waking free time to myself. I’m reluctant to go back to school, if I take on a 4 year program I’ll be 32 when I graduate. Maybe an associate program if there’s one worth doing, a lot of those jobs seem like they make about what I’m making now though. If there would be a good way to break into remote work I’d be interested in hearing it, been wanting to travel more, have a trip planned now but thinking of cashing in my Whole Foods PTO and peacing out. Any suggestions would be appreciated, I feel at a loss on what to do and generally feeling pretty down right now.
