Post Body

I've been a graphic designer on and off for about 8 years. No benefits for a shitty company. I can't stand it anymore, and I hate sitting at a desk. The job market is dry and I don't have the willpower to learn UI/UX or how to code. I've got a Gen. A.A. and an EMT diploma with 2 years EMS experience but Iā€™m not really interested in healthcare anymore. I've taken a lot of math classes but I can't remember anything beyond basic algebra even though I've done Calc I and II, trig, etc. I want to work outside because I love being outside and I have way too much energy.

I cannot make a decision on what to do, and I have way too many ideas. I have no idea how to focus on one, and honestly I want to make a switch ASAP. I want to make $60k within 2 years (4 years if I resume school). Does anyone have any ideas, or any experience in what I've listed below that could offer guidance?

So far, I've written down:

  • Environmental Engineer
  • Firefighter (even though I dropped out of fire school years ago...)
  • Soil Conservationist
  • Farmer (I'd love to start a farm but that would be a long journey)
  • Agricultural Engineer
  • Police
  • Coast Guard
  • Forester
  • Ecologist
  • Botanist
  • Ornithologist
  • Own a nursery/garden center
  • Land Surveyor
  • Train Conductor
  • Commercial Pilot
