I work at law firm as paralegal for 1.8 years. for added information: I live somewhere in Asia. there is like one majority race at my law firm and I’m minority here. so basically I don’t want to feel that I left out because my race is different to them. but now there’s new employee, fresh graduate, also work as paralegal and have same race with the majority attorney here. every attorney here seems like always call out her name, asking her name and very nicely welcome to her. that’s totally different when first time I came here. I don’t want to feel jealous neither pity, because I’m the one in charge who has to teach her. I teach her like she’s my own sister. but I’m just kinda sad if the truth is I’m being discriminated. by this moment, I recall few moment back then. there are few attorney who really “bombastic side eye” me first time I’m being here. what do you think? am I really being discriminated or this is just normal? I don’t want to feel this way. I just want to work professionally
