Literally just thought of this.

So the localization really screwed over the voice line that we ended up with in the English version of X (James Arnold Taylor did his best with the line he delivered lol).

My question though is with the wording. Why not just change the phrase to an equivalent yet shorter phrase?

“next to Yuna” works far better than what we got. The whole [rushed] phrase, I think, is “but I wanted to see it.. ..withYunabymyside.” They could’ve just swapped it on the spot, no? “but I wanted to see it.. .. next to Yuna.”

I know they had a lot to record in a certain amount of time, but there could’ve at least been enough time for this to be fixed real quick. So time couldn’t have been the reason.

It’s just weird to think about, how something that became a meme to us could’ve so easily been improved on the spot when recording the original audio file for the line.
