Can you help me find a song about a werewolf who isn’t very good at it?

I’m not much into cons, but I attended one in the 90s(LASCON? Phil & Ed’s Excellent Convention?) I attended a sing-a-long. There was one song I’ve remembered vaguely ever since. It was about a lycanthrope lamenting that he was so bad at it. Everyone seemed to know the lyrics, but I have never been able to find it online. I think the chorus went:
Growl, yowl, howl at the moon! I can’t do it right, I don’t know why I try. Growl, yowl, howl at the moon! Sad is the life of a werewolf.
