Hi! I live in Canada and I'm looking to set up a bag in my house, I am dedicating a large portion of my basement to it so I can have movement involved.
I am more experienced, took boxing for around 2 years from some of the best in Canada and also trained taekwondo when I was younger so I am incorporating kicks into my combos. I hit the bag at my gym probably 2-3 times per week for a long time, but now I don't want to go there.
I can punch and kick quiet hard as I've been weight lifting for the last 15 years the proper techniques, so I don't want anything to hard, but not to soft either. Some of the bags hurt my hands and wrist after a while cause they were so hard.
I'm 5"5, 145 lean, 160 bulked typically 150 pounds and I have a 90 inches or 7.5 feet or 229 cm from my roof to floor.
I don't mind paying a lot, as I want this to be a long term investment. Lets say $200-$800 to give a number.
I am looking at this one: https://everlast.ca/collections/boxing-punching-bags/products/super-leather-heavy-bag?variant=19891321634913#
But I can't find any reviews anywhere on it, what weight is better? Is heavier better or because I am a little fella, I should go with the 100 pound? Would this be okay for kicks?
Thanks so much, any help would be greatly appreciated, I just can't wait to start killing the bag again. haha
