Help with dribbling

When I have the ball and imngoing to attack I usually run through the sideline with my player but i always end up being tackled by the side by the opposing player. He usually runs behind me and reaches and takes the ball from me easily. What are some good skills/moves to prevent this scenario? Also, how do I tackle the ball from an opposing player like that while defending? Ive tried this by holding x (contain) or O on ps4 when im running behind the player and i never seem to get their ball.
