Mix pre 6 USB-C power only 2 ch phantom ??

I’ve just started messing about using a USB-C power bank as opposed to my BDS and NP1. I was shocked to discover only 2 xlr inputs will support phantom when the unit is powered from usb!! Is there a way around this? Should I buy the Sony sled and some camera batteries? :/ I have an 8 AA sled but I have not really put it to the test with rechargeable batteries. Any opinions? Thanks
