Joint Account Or Beneficiary?

Post Body
Hello!
I have an individual account thats been open for years where I trade here and there. But now that I'm married and we want to invest in long term stocks, would we (wife and I) need to open a new "JOINT" account or can i just add her to the one I already have open? Is this the same as adding beneficiary? Just want to make sure that if anything happens to me she has complete 100% access to everything without any issues.
Thanks!
