Throughout the MSQ there are glimpses and moments when the true strength and purpose of the Warrior of Light is brought into question. One I think of is when Thordan, upon defeat, says "who... What are you?" Another one I just experienced as I replay Stormblood is Temulun, leader of the Mol in the Azim Steppe, telling us we're blessed and our light is radiant and them she adds "For you are a traveler, are you not?" Interesting when you consider the incantation Emet Selch uses is also a spell of the Traveler, Azem. Over time we've learned a lot of the Warrior of Light's possible origins, but we know nothing of their true motives. Zenos seems to like the idea that we are just like him on the other side, fighting for the fun of it. So for you what is your current theory about the Warrior of Light?
For me the WoL/Azem connection is the most fascinating part of FF14 lore. I sort of like the idea we can choose, but I also want more definitive hints of who Azem was and could it just have been us the whole time.
