So after rewatching the final cutscene of the Raid (the one with Elidibus talking to himself) he says things about the "truths at the edge of sleep" which, I think, is a glimpse of something as he is making his way through the aetherial sea. He also says history is usually dictated by the victors, but at the end it seems this isn't going to be the case soon. And then the last thing he says is "oh look the Light." Could this be a Flood of Light and could this be a Rejoining triggered by something OTHER than the Ascians? Could it even be the First be Rejoined to the Source somehow? The ending of the MSQ implies we will be going to the First for something that could help us against Golbez and Zeromus. Could Golbez be defeated but still achieve some sort of goal?

Or alternatively could whatever we do on the First lead to the restoration of the Light in the Thirteenth, which would ultimately achieve Golbez's goal in restoring the Thirteenth? If you think about it Zeromus on some level probably is the Darkness version of Eden which was used to restore balance to the Empty during the Shadowbringers raid story. Lots to think about here.
