Now that a good amount of people finished top and we're not getting another ultimate until next year in 7.1

Now is a good time to ask people favorite ultimate's and which ones did you hate.

For me.

Favorite: DSR

I placed Dsr as my favorite because it was the hardest ultimate they ever released and it was very fun at that. It has no artificial difficulty to make a certain mech hard for the sake of as well, everything in dsr is fair.

The journey of getting through dsr is stressful but the pay off is AMAZING once you clear. The feeling of fulfillment.

Many people even shed a tear or just outright cry after such a challenging fight is done and then they reward you with such a nice ending that no Ultimate has ever done prior to Dsr.

My only issue with dsr is eye phase/phase 4 is sleeper.

And the DSR weapons are TERRIBLE with a few exceptions like RPR and DRK

And the music is kinda average, not the most hype. Dragon king is hype though.

Like: TOP, TEA

I placed tea in (Like) because one... is it has an amazing OST, BJ/CC and PA is an extremely fun phase and through out tea solving the mechs are very satisfying to execute.

My only issue with tea is LL/phase 1. It's a very crappy phase due to it making you limit how much dps you have to do on dolls. Imagine playing a dps and the fight is telling you not to use your attacks lol.((sorry dps brain)).

(TOP).....I struggled so hard in deciding to put this in favorite, like or meh... I'm so conflicted with this fight. It has so much things going for it that I really, really enjoy.

The OST is a banger, more so phase 3 and 4.

The pacing of the fight is the best of all ultimates imo, what basically is a 18-19min fight, it really only feels like 12 or less has passed in top, because the pacing of this fight is really well done.

A lot of the mechanics feel really good to execute just like in tea, more so in p3 and P5 when everything is exploding and music is ramping up in p3 and then looking at the dynamis line thingy jumping to the correct players and watching mechs just resolve in p5. Feels good.

Now my issue with TOP is it has some artificial difficulty imo. One is the pointing the monitors.

The monitor being placed on you in a random direction imo is unneeded and they basically only did it so the mech isn't easy.

Problem is it just makes the mech more annoying than hard. You obviously get a feel for it but it doesn't make not any less annoying.

Another is mostly everybody else issue. P5.

I think TOP is the only fight where it's pretty much almost mandatory someone have VC or be a marking slave. Because the randomness of your dynamis stacks.

No other ultimate you need VC but TOP you basically do, this basically made it to where if you PF top. Someone has to have AM because nobody wants to be the person to mark.

Obviously some groups don't, but a good 99% are using AM((auto markers)) for this fight if you're doing it with total randoms.

With that out of the way.

My personal biggest issue with top is the holding... P1 hold, p2 hold, p3 hold.

It's so, so dumb and just dragging out the fight.

And I hate that this fight is like that.

If you push too fast everything is out of line and it just carries on into other phases and possibly causing you to wipe due to a dps check.

But with all that. I can't bring myself to put TOP in hate or meh because it's actually a really, really fun fight and I enjoy doing it.

Meh: UWU

UWU I think is meh because the fight is quite frankly sleeper until titan and Ultima. The fight is fun but a good.....6-7mins? Of the fight is a drag.

Hate: UCOB

Ucob...First of its kind...I honestly feel bad saying I hate it but... goodness... Ucob is easily the worst ultimate to prog.

Twin is the worst phase 1 in all ultimates imo because it's soooo boring on top of a boring OST and what feels like a life time in phase 1 because it feels so long because the fight is slow.

Phase 2 is actually a good phase, would be perfect if it wasn't for the RP lines to determine what she's going to do.

Phase 3 is a mixed bag for me.

It has some fun mechs but also some boring ones and worst of all, some mechs are janky as HECK and just don't work sometime. If you done Ucob, you know what I'm talking about.

Phase 4 is actually good tbh.

Golden bahamut is also fun because the music hypes you up, bahamut attacks are HEAVY and shake the screen. The exaflares when they hit the ground is like BOOM.

Ucob final phase is very good even if it is the "victory lap". That people throw around so loosely now.
