Previously, I played on Linux, but because "reasons" it no longer really works on there. I just installed Windows 10 today, and it is a licensed copy. I don't have anything else that is memory intensive running in the background. I am launching through Steam. Everything that I'm supposed to do.
I have plenty of HD space (somewhere just south of 1TB free), 32gb ram, AMD Ryzen7, and an MSI b450 mobo. Again, all these specs are more than enough to run the game, and it worked fine on Linux through Steam before the latest patch.
I tried disabling DX11 through the launcher settings, but that is not possible as DX11 is required. I installed the latest web runtime. I disabled (and then re-enabled when it didn't work) the full-screen compatibility in the ffxiv_dx11.exe file, as well as the ffxiv.exe file. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might to do get this to run? Or at the very least, can translate the Japanese part (I assume its something along the lines of "error has occured")
