Hello All,
Due to the recent increase of new players and some doubts on what to buy, I just made a quick excel on explaining the versions of FFXIV you can purchase and its content.I will make a steam version also.
Things to take into consideration:
- Collectors' editions are the same but with some bonus in-game items.
- The same account can be used on PC, PS5, PS4, or Mac. You can not use the same account to log in to the steam and PC version. But you can use the same account for different platforms. In order words, you can only have one type of account per type of device.
- If you buy the game with steam, you are stuck with steam. If you buy the game from the Square Enix store, you are stuck with the game launcher.
- If you buy the game through Steam, to complement your game with other expansions, you have to buy the expansions through Steam.
