Hey everyone,

So, somewhere along the way I have found the lore regarding how Aetheryte Crystals work and how it is we can teleport.
Now, there still is a different question regarding these crystals I still have. It is regarding the natural creation of settlements.

Considering the fact that every major settlement (and some minor ones) seem to have an Aetheryte Crystal nearby/inside, how do these come to be?
Does a settlement somehow buy one of these and install it in their settlement? Does the settlement slowly take shape surrounding a crystal? Why do some settlements not have a crystal then?

I could understand why people would be drawn to these crystals and use them for 'easy' travel. I merely wonder which comes first, the settlement, or the crystal?
