The FATE system in the game has needed a revamp for a long time, lets be honest. Its probably the most outdated feature in the game, and the critical engagement system is a way to spice up the open world, and a solution to add tiered content for new players and veteran players in terms of difficulty in the older areas of the game. I always am looking for reasons to revisit areas from HW and SB since very rarely do in game events take us there. I really hope they consider taking critical engagements and applying them to the open world in the future. Anyway, loving Bozja and the game finally adding some content with some teeth. Seeing parties of players wipe to fights is a blast.
