Ahoy hoy everyone!

I will preface this by stating that I am a die-hard fan of the Blue Mage class. It has been my favorite Final Fantasy Job since FFV. My character name in XIV is even Cobalt Magus. I've been hoping and looking forward to BLU coming to XIV since the first day I played. I also fully understand that in order to stay true to the nature of BLU, some restrictions would be needed. Certain restrictions like duty finder or Eureka make sense, as you are potentially hurting other players if you join one of those as a PUG BLU not properly ability geared.

So with that being said, is SE being too restrictive with the class? They've locked BLU from doing Main Scenario Quests, Squadron Missions, & Stone, Sky, Sea. These three are all solo content, so there would be no concern about hindering other players. They also locked out Deep Dungeons, which can be done w/ premade parties. We don't know if they are restricting those only due to the level cap of them being higher than the current level cap of BLU, as they didn't say, so for all intents and purposes until otherwise stated by SE, it's just more content that BLU is not allowed to do.

Lastly, BLU does not gain any bonus experience from fates or guildleves. This one isn't specific, so I don't know if it means that you don't get the completion XP, or if it means that the enemies from within the fate do not grant the bonus XP that BLU will naturally get from mobs out in the open world. If its the latter, I completely understand that due to the amount of mobs that spawn in quick succession in a fate (it would take BLU fate grinding to whole new levels of ridiculous). If its the former tho, then that has essentially soft locked out that content due to a lack of appropriate rewards.
