For example, about two days ago I registered the Elemental Lance 2 to my DRG gear set and since this afternoon every time I log in I get the mesage "your Elemental Lnace 1 was not found, replace it with Elemental Lance 2?". Also inventory is not sorted and I always appear as if I were using the RDM gear set even if I logged out with any other job.

Tl;dr: As title says, my character configuration doesn't seem to save after I log off.

I checked windows firewall and made sure that permissions are correct on the folder data, also that is not in "read only" mode. Tried as well to change my current character folder with an older one in case it became corrupt somehow but didn't work either.

Any ideas of what might be happening? I'm using Windows 10.

Also, maybe is unrelated but I noticed that for some reason I cannot save a backup from the launcher on my Desktop. It says that it couldn't be found. Saved backups on Desktop a lot of times in the past with no issue. I can move and save any other stuff in my Desktop.

Edit: I just noticed when using the summoning bell after logging in that is says "venture complete" regardless if it's true or not. I need to access the retainers for it to update... So maybe is not just a problem of configuration.

Edit 2: Problem solved! Square support helped me found the problem: apparently Windows Defender folder access control was not letting it save. I don't know why all of the sudden because I've been using WD for a long time with everything activated and didn't have this issue... Might be something related to a new Windows update or something. Leaving this info here in case someone else has the same problem as me.
