So the paragraph about Alex Midas normal recites:

Players will also receive a Midan Gear once per week after completing Alexander - The Burden of the Son. Midan gears can be exchanged for high-capacity tomestones by speaking with the NPC Sabina in Idyllshire (X:5.8 Y:5.2). High-capacity tomestones are used in the purchase of new weapons.

So that means that each week you'll get tokens from Midas normal that you can then exchange for a weapon. Logic dictates that it must be a weapon of the same ilvl as the gear that drops in Midas normal, i.e. ilvl220

Except the only ilvl220 weapons from the current item list are Sephiroth EX's drops.

Other options among the new weapons are the replica Allagan and High-Allagan (decidedly not), the eikonic weapons (unlikely) and the ilvl245 Midan weapons (even less likely). It is interesting to note, though, that the English list says "Prototype Midan" for the ilvl245 weapons when "Prototype" should only be used for stuff found on Midas normal not savage. The Japanese list doesn't have "Prototype" on those (and neither does the French list).

From here I can only speculate these possible scenarios:

1) There are both Prototype (ilvl220) and non Prototype (ilvl 245) Midan weapons. Somehow there was a mishap when compiling the list and the English version has names and ilvl mixed up.

2) High-capacity tomestones will be used to get older weapons (For example: ilvl 210 Gordian Weapons)

3) High-capacity tomestone will be used as an alternative way to get Sephirot weapons or Eikonic weapons

4) High capacity tomestones will be used to get the ilvl 245 Midan Weapons (!) but you'll need a lot of them, like 3 months worth of farming Midas normal.

What do you think?
