How to duty finder t8,9?

I'm not hardcore into raiding, on a fairly slow server (Zalera hype), and not in a raiding FC/LS. I've DF'd up from t1 to t7, but having just finished t7, I want to be sure of what I'm doing going into t8. Given that guides I've seen are a few months out of date, where people are rocking 4k hp, and that I'm seeing less and less clear groups for t9 now, I would like to know what has changed for the fight mechanics? What mechanics can be ignored and what strategies have changed from a few months ago?
