I have only been playing less than a month, but having seen videos and read posts about gathering bots, I assume something was recently changed in game to prevent such a thing. With randomized node locations and no way to actually target them in game without just clicking on it, I assume FFXIV made such changes (or maybe theyve always been that way) to stop botting.

Or am I wrong and there are still gathering bots out there? As much as I hate bots, I have found that theres basically no one on this server selling shards, which I am currently out of and hate to mine myself. Maybe though its because the server is fairly new.

Also, on older servers, whats the avg shard price (specifically Wind if they differ greatly).
