Joined another PUG group this week (had a few players on their alt characters though (they had killed twin on their main already, and wanted it on their alts)) and downed twin today. Somehow, luckily I saw a second ADS Illuminant drop (maybe server 2nd?), and this time it went to me! hurray :D
Anyways: here's the video for those interested, SMN point of view. http://www.twitch.tv/bluecoconut/c/3319491
Specifically some points of interest for those who are studying up / want as much info about turn 5 as possible:
We did the stack -> Garuda Eos off tank for fireballs. I prefer this method over the 2 groups (less emphasis on raid heals), and haven't seen many videos showing it, so maybe it'll be interesting for some people to see.
Also, we had a bad timing on a conflag (right when necklace drops) but with ranged DPS it is possible to kill it while still hiding from first divebombs!
Also, for SMN groups, this shows good positioning of twin relative to the dreadknights so that bane connects and dots spread.
Finally: as a point of gear-checks, we had a BLM with <4k hp with food, and a main PLD tank who had 6.4k HP with food. I only bring this up as a point to show that understanding mechanics of the fight is more important than gear numbers that get tossed around a lot. Gear matters, yes, but time in the fight is more important in the long run (in my opinion).
