After doing the math between darklight chest and Vanya robe hat i was very depressed. Lets say i wanted to make the chest and hat. I would need to either spend hours upon hours farming or spending a ton of gil on materials. While either spending more gil or collecting 2200 tomes of philo. Then i would need the proper gear for my weaver which means HQ'ing and materia. THEN i could prey to the gods that nothing goes wrong and i HQ it. THEN i would need to meld and overmeld each piece. Now lets say you dont have the funds to spam overmeld...and you have the basic two materia in each piece. At that point you would have a SIDEGRADE to the easily obtainable Darklight.

I did the math and switching from darklight chest to vanya chest hat i would Lose 8 pie, and 1 mnd. Only to gain 22 crit and 1 determination. I dont get it...since so much more work goes into it shouldnt it pay off better? or am i missing something. I mean even after overmelds it isnt THAT much better....and with crystal tower around the corner with Ilvl 80 gear from the duty finder...is there a point?
